1ST POST: "Yay or Nay"

My very first post on my very first open blog, and it happened to be about contact lens solutions and disposable contact lenses. I wouldn't say this post would be so much of  a 'yay' than a 'nay' to most of you, but this is what I want to talk about right now.

First, let me tell you why I made this blog so you can have an idea on what runs through this lucrative mind of mine. A few days ago, I watched Julie & Julia and I had thought that in our lives, from time to time, we hit the Julie & Julia stage. In the stage of life where you feel stuck and every day is just the same and as it goes on, it drags you all the way down the bottom pit. Julie found a way to surpass those dreading days by making her blog as an outlet. Now I'm practically doing the same thing now except for the popularity purpose she had. I've always wanted to share my interests to others and knowing that they have the same interests as I do makes it feel more delightful.

So... to start off are DISPOSABLE CONTACT LENSES AND MULTI-PURPOSE SOLUTIONS!!
Okay, so I wouldn't say that I've tried all solutions there are in the market but so far i've used three brands already. And if you're going to ask me how long i've been using contact lenses, my answer would be not long enough to make a review about these stuffs, but then again I don't care. Haha..

I've only used three solutions from different brands, but I guess what I'm satisfied with, so far was the one from Alcon. If you're not so familiar with it, it's the white bottle on a green sticker packaging with it. I'd have to say it reallly does clean my lenses, I know so, 'coz right after I soaked my lens on the lens case overnight, I could find dirts floating around it. And what was said on the packaging was true, it does indeed gives a lasting comfort. What's also good about it is that it's a "no rub" solution. But the only downside is that I always have to soak my lenses for 6 hours. I mean, come on! I don't have all the time in the world. I just wish that they have the 10 minute system that the Freshlook solution has. Anyway, that's the only downside of the product I can think of. Another yay factor I can think of was the bottle, I think it looks sexy and not dull, unlike those other shapeless solution bottles. Packaging IS important! It adds appeal to the product, not that nobody knows that.

Moving on, I just started buying disposable contact lenses yesterday. At first I was really hesitant to buy those things 'coz I think it's just a waste of money for something pricey that can only last for months or so. But anyway I gave it a shot, trying new things won't do me any harm, but it did harmed my wallet. Besides, you learn form trying new things, and you gain a lot of experience with it. So right now I'm sharing my experience about it. Haha...
Okay, I was so alien about the whole disposable contact lens thing, so I was not really brand aware about it, even the colors and styles. All I know is that what I want and will buy are a pair of blue lens. So I ended up buying Coopervisions' Expressions color lens. I thought it was a steal to be getting 2 pairs for the price of one Freshlook lens. But then again, I failed with this purchase decision I've made. Turns out the CLs only lasts up to one month, plus it looks really fake on my eyes. I'm thinking of sticking to my very first decision next time, and that is to try Freshlook colorblends in true sapphire. I wonder if the color would show up on my eyes.

I was really having shape-shift with these disposables, 'coz I'm used to circle lenses that can last up to a year. These disposables are so soft, it was so hard to stick it in my eyes. Oh, I'm also struggling with the taking it off part. However, I would still want to buy more of these, but I'll try Acuvue and Freshlook next time, then I'll give a review about it.

I blab too much! This post is way too long now, so to cut things short. Welcome to my very first public blogsite! :)

BTW! I got a new puppy, I decided to call her Chestnut. She's just adorable just like my Wealthy :)
I still miss you Wealthy :(
